I love it when I see a good marriage between Fashion and Art!
Wearable art is not a new concept, a lot designers and artists have done it. This reasonably priced Cavalli dress reminds me of Jackson Pollock's abstract drip paintings. Although the genre of painting is overdone at this point (I mean... people have been doing it for the past 60 or so years!), seeing it on the body is a whole new feeling... It brought back a certain nostalgic feeling for me, and reminded me of my college years when I first studies Pollock and abstract impressionism.
There are many many similar paintings by Jackson Pollock, I chose this one to show because the colors are very agreeable to my taste.
Jackson Pollock, Galaxy, oil painting, 1947.
